If you live in the US, you can easily find The Ultimate Hiker’s Gear Guide. Take your pick: my website, Amazon, REI (online and stores), Barnes & Noble, and many local bookstores and outdoor retail stores.
Outside the US, its availability is not as widespread, but it can still be tracked down. With this page I’d like to offer a few options to help save you time.

The giant US-based retailer operates in at least fourteen countries, including Canada, Australia, and the bigger economies in Europe and Asia. Thankfully, it carries The Ultimate Hiker’s Gear Guide, either in paperback or Kindle formats, or both.
For example, currently Amazon.ca is accepting pre-orders for the Second Edition, and Amazon.co.uk is listing the paperback edition.
- Indigo will carry it, although I don’t know in exactly which stores.

And brick n mortar stores are: Globetrotter, Sporthaus Schuster, Sportscheck and then usually most towns have a local one or two.
These locations had the First Edition? It makes sense that they will have the Second, and hope they do.
Germany: It’s not possible to buy your book from Bergfreunde or Bergzeit. I got it from Amazon.de.
For your neighbour’s to the North, Mountain Equipment Co-op (Canada’s REI) also carries the second edition. This is a good link to share, as your audience will know MEC and there are something like 24 stores across Canada.
