Win the Salewa Ultra Train Trail Shoes || Holiday Giveaway #6

Did I save the best for last? I think so, but only incidentally, since Salewa is last in alphabetical order among the brands that generously provided goodies for this giveaway series: Coast, Esbit, GaiaGPS, LuminAid, and Platypus; plus Sierra Designs, which broadcast my holiday gift guide last week via Facebook Live

Yesterday’s winner

Congrats to Elena G, Don P, and Jordan H, who won downloads of the GaiaGPS app.

Good luck today, everyone!

Today’s giveaway

This summer the Salewa Ultra Train became my go-to backpacking shoe. It really proved itself while I was piecing together the Pffifner Traverse, a backpacking high route that spans Colorado’s Front Range for about 75 miles between Milner and Berthoud Passes. I’ll be releasing a guidebook with thru- and section-hiking information later this winter.

Read my review of the Ultra Train. It has a low center of gravity, sticky rubber outsole, and durable upper, making it excel on rocky and uneven terrain. If you are planning an off-trail route in 2017, give these a serious look. They are also suitable for trail runners who want a more robust shoe.

The Salewa Ultra Train is a light and agile hiking shoe or a capable mountain running shoe, depending on your preferences and needs.

The holiday giveaway has concluded. Congrats to Matt S., lucky #40.

Odd. A few hundred others seem to have been able to. Try refreshing the browser.

I use Privacy Badger and could not see the form until I disabled it. I’m finding that Privacy Badger regularly blocks content that I want. It didn’t do this yesterday.
