Only one spot left on world-class 7-day Yosemite trip

Update (June 26, 5:15pm). The Yosemite C trip is now full. The only 2012 trip with open spots is  in Michigan’s Porcupine Mountains (4 hrs from Minneapolis) over Labor Day Weekend.

I am looking for one person to round out the Yosemite C Wilderness Adventure, scheduled for Sunday, September 30 through Saturday, October 6. This is the only spot left on my Yosemite trips — the A and B trips are already both full.

The ideal candidate should be an intermediate or ambitious beginner backpacker who is capable of hiking up to about 15 miles per day when on-trail; our actual mileage will probably be less early in the trip (when our packs are heavy, when the group is still acclimatizing, and when there’s more instruction to do) and on days with lots of off-trail travel.

This is the perfect trip for a backpacker who wants to greatly increase their backpacking know-how. You will learn how to:

  • Select gear and supplies that are appropriate for Fall trips in the Mountain West
  • Plan and map your route
  • Navigate on-trail and off-trail
  • Find 5-star campsites
  • Use tarps and alcohol stoves
  • Plus much more — see the full curriculum

I will be the lead guide on the trip. “Flyin’ Brian” Robinson will be assisting me. You will not find more experienced or capable backpacking guides anywhere.
