July 26 Update. This spot has been filled. If you are interested in a 2015 trip, make sure to submit your information so that you receive email updates about the trip and registration schedule. Also, don’t hesitate to register when it goes live — my trips fill very fast, if not immediately.

I am looking for an enthusiastic, physically fit, advanced beginner or intermediate backpacker to join my High Sierra Adventure A trip. This 7-day/6-night, learning-intensive trip starts on Sunday, August 31 and concludes on Saturday, September 6.

This trip — as well as the two other High Sierra Adventure sessions — originally sold out on January 23, the very first day that registration was open to the public. Needless to say, spots like this don’t open up very often.

Your guides will be Brian Robinson and yours truly. You won’t find another outfitter or school that sends their clients out with such accomplished, knowledgeable, and personable backpacking guides. In short, we will lead you on a world-class backcountry experience while helping to take your skills to the next level.

The other seven group members include six males and one female (the wife of one of the males). Their ages are: 35, 36, 39, 44, 61, 62, and 72.

The expected physical intensity of the trip would be equivalent to 15-20 miles per day if we were to hike only on-trail, on rolling terrain, and at low elevations. In reality, we will hike only about 10 miles per day because there will be extensive off-trail travel (about half the trip) and vertical gain and loss (about 3,000 feet each way per day).
