Maps, Databook & More Info
Maps
The entire park, including the Traverse route, is covered by the National Geographic Trails Illustrated Zion National Park map (#214).
Alternatively, you can download the mapset that I developed using National Geographic TOPO! mapping software. The base maps for the mapset are the USGS 7.5-minute quads, adjusted to be at a scale of 1:40,000 and to be printed on standard letter (8.5″x11″) paper.

Mapset updates (as of May 2017)
The connector trail segment between Hop Valley and Wildcat Canyon is no longer faint or hard to follow.
Grazing in Hop Valley may have been scaled back.
Telephone Canyon is open, but the West Rim Trail is still obviously the better choice.
Databook
The Databook is a barebones spreadsheet of key information and distances between them. It’s very helpful in quickly determining how miles you’ve covered, how many miles you have left, how many miles to the next water source, etc. The mileage information is on the maps too but the maps cannot be as quickly referenced.
