Itinerary – Final

I finished the AYE about one week earlier than I had projected, which is remarkable in consideration of all the variables on a trip like this. There are two primary explanations for my faster-than-expected pace. First, I didn’t take as many zero-days as I expected—just seven (three of which were in the field, due to inclement weather) instead of 14. Second, I was able to cover more miles per day than I had conservatively predicted—I was able to ski, hike, and raft faster than I thought.
