Napeequa River Valley
Glacier Peak Wilderness, Washington

A mega-flood in 2003 washed out the Pacific Crest Trail's bridge over the unfordable Suiattle River, so hikers temporarily get to witness this amazing view from below Little Giant Pass. The Napeequa is a quintessential North Cascade scene, with abundant lush green vegetation, a glacier carved U-shaped valley, and snow- and glacier-covered alpine ridges.
