When Buzz Burrell became the Brand Manager at Ultimate Direction in early-2012, the brand was dead. No longer, much thanks to a brilliant product and marketing story: the Signature Series running vests. They’re now de facto mandatory equipment in the ultrarunning scene, and I see them regularly on Boulder’s foothills trails, too. Nice work, Buzz!

The original Signature Series were designed by men, and unsurprisingly were fit for men as well, despite supposed unisex sizing. So Buzz corralled a harem of female ultrarunners — including Amanda — to develop the Jenny Collection, which launched this spring. Amanda has been using her Ultra Vesta for months and posted a review yesterday on Ultimate Direction’s blog.

Coinciding with a delivery of new packs this week, UD is offering a 20% off coupon. Here are the details:

  • Offer: Get 20% off site-wide at UltimateDirection.com
  • Code: JUNE20
  • Start: 6/18/14
  • End: 6/26/14¬†at 11:59pm MT

Hey Andy and Amanda. Thanks again for dinner last week. Great to catch up. Brandi is really psyched to get to know Amanda better. I had to get off the front range and get to the mountains, so I had no more time for a run around Boulder.

Good review of the Jenny vest on the UD Blog this week by Amanda. Brandi wants one now.

Every mountain runner should own a UD pack for long days and either of these for shorter days:
Men- Jurek Essential waistpack + Grip bottle
Women- Meow waistpack + Grip bottle

    Keep in touch.

    Jer

Hi Andrew, guess I found this post too late for the offer, but suspect its USA only. Do you know if UD have any distribution in the UK? I’ll drop them a note too. Thanks Jenny

I would write them. I can’t imagine they don’t have UK distribution.
