This website was re-launched in early-January, in advance of the release of The Ultimate Hiker’s Gear Guide in late-February. Its front-end and back-end were both greatly improved: new layout, improved navigation, blog, social interactivity, and professional online store, all managed with a slick WordPress content management system.

I hope visitors have appreciated the new website, and  the content I’ve added to it in 2012. Special thanks to Ben Klocek at Bracia for making it all happen.

As part of my year-end routines I looked at web traffic more closely. To close the year, I thought readers might be interested in the ten most popular how-to blog posts and articles from 2012:

Andrew I was at an REI sale the other day and a lady asked me about tarp camping and lighter gear in general. I walked her down to the bookshelf, showed her your book and told her that had pretty much everything she’d need. She bought it on the spot! I’m selling gear for REI and I don’t even work there!

Hope you have a good year!
